Our Story

Furnace Room Brewery (FRB) started exactly where the name suggests, downstairs in the basement of a home in Georgetown, Ontario…right next to the furnace!

Friends began tasting and enjoying the beer and word began to spread around town. After people started asking “where can I get more of this?”, FRB officially opened its doors at 1 Elgin Street in Georgetown in December 2018.

Local support was fast and furious so it was only fitting that our best-selling beer is named after a local legend, ‘The Chicken Man’, who rode the streets of Georgetown with his trusted companion.

With our beers all being brewed in-house, we pride ourselves in providing you with not only our staples: Chicken Man Pale Ale and Beardmore Lagered Ale, but with new and rotating brews that are available in cans for pickup, or on tap. While enjoying your draft, we’d love you to stay awhile and try our brand-new menu, which includes our famous Bacon Cheddar Beer Dip, Furnace Room Bites, Chicken & Waffles, Tacos and Loaded Poutine, with fresh cut fries, to name a few!
